INKLIM 2012 Module II plus

Subsequent to INKLIM 2012, the HMULV started the research project INKLIM 2012 Module II plus in summer 2007 and assigned the HLUG to execute it. The project was finalised in spring 2009.

In addition to a preliminary study on possible CO2-storage in deep geological formations, the impacts of climate change are investigated in the following fields:

  • Forestry and agriculture
  • Viticulture and fruit growing
  • Plant phenology
  • Soil (carbon content)
  • Flow behaviour of Hessian river systems
  • Additional water demand for agriculture

The projects are based on regional climate projection data provided by the Federal Environment Agency (global model ECHAM5, scenarios B1, A1B and A2, regional models WETTREG and REMO). These data allow a range assessment over several scenarios for the first time.
